2024 ICD10 Codes

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) have introduced 395 new diagnosis codes, removed 25 codes, and made revisions to 13 codes within the ICD-10-CM code set for Fiscal Year 2024. Furthermore, the 2024 Addendum has been updated to reflect changes in numerous codes related to conditions such as osteoporosis with fractures, retinopathy, muscle entrapment in the eye, and diseases of the nervous system. ICD 10 October 1, 2018 Changes

As of October 1, 2018, 365 new ICD10 2019 codes have been released. Any encounter on or after October 1, will automatically use the new codes. Visits prior to October 1, will use the 2018 version. Medicare DME Prior Authorization Required

Effective September 1, 2018, Medicare will require Prior Authorization for DME, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) items. New Medicare Card Transition Begins April 1

CMS will begin mailing new Medicare cards with the Medicare Beneficiary Identifier (MBI) on April 1. Start using the MBI as soon as your patients get their new cards.
