ICD10 2018 Starts 10/1/2017
On October 1, 2017, there are new ICD10 codes and old ones will be deleted. Any encounter prior to October 1, 2017, will use the 2017 edition. Here are some of the changes: Starting Oct. 1, it will be possible to select a specific ICD-10-CM code when a patient is in remission from abuse of each of a variety of substances, including alcohol, opioids, cannabis and nicotine.
